Welcome to the Beer Glossary Wiki


This Beer Glossary has been created to give you fast and reliable access to definitions of terms related to beer. The glossary includes terms related to brewing beer, consuming beer, raw products of beer, history of beer, reviews, and any other sub category of beer you can think of. Anyone can edit, build upon and add entries to the glossary.

We appreciate you contributing to the Beer Glossary as this will help it expand and improve over time. If you wish to contribute please read the User’s Guide for some basic guidelines. This glossary is powered by MediaWiki originally created for the well known Wikipedia. In the spirit of the Wikipedia, we ask contributors to follow some basic principles, including neutral point of view, only using verifiable information and keeping the wiki free from abuses such as copyright infringement. If you see abuse please report it to glossary.abuse@beerglossary.com.

You can edit existing entries in the glossary or create new ones. This is highly encouraged so don’t be shy. To create a new entry type the entry name into the search box to the left and click ‘Go’. If there is not an entry with that name you’ll get the option to create a new entry by clicking on ‘create this page’. It is recommended that you read the User’s Guide first.

You need to log in to edit or add an entry. This is to block spammers and protect the contents of the glossary. All you need to create an account is a username and a password, real names and e-mail addresses are optional. We will not pass on any information from accounts to third parties.
